Joyce’s ‘Number’ comes up in Auckland

Joyce realised her ‘number’ had come up when she received a telephone call from Cestria with an offer of a bungalow at Auckland.
Joyce and her son George who have helped to run the Bingo group at Gibside for the last seven years were desperate for a move due to Joyce’s ill health. She was recovering from a very bad heart attack. George who lives with Joyce said “It was a real shock when mum came into my room saying that she was ill, I dialled the emergency services and due to their quick response, she’s here today”. On returning to her house in Ridley Avenue she realised that she could not manage the stairs and contacted Cestria to see if they could help.
As she had been on the housing list for seven years, they advised her to apply for medical points through her doctor as the property was not suitable for her with her illness. When she received a call from Karl Richardson with the offer of a two-bed bungalow in Auckland, George went to have look at the area and found that their friends from the Bingo group lived just across the road. This was the decider for them and it was full steam ahead to get moved in. Joyce said “It was great moving in here, everyone is so friendly and the area very peaceful, plus it’s close enough for us to get to the communal hall at Gibside for the Bingo”.
