If you think that you may be homeless or threatened with homelessness, you need to contact the Housing Solutions Team at Durham County Council for advice and assistance (Telephone: 0191 387 1919, Out of Hours: 01388 722538, E-mail: housingsolutions@durham.gov.uk)

You may then be referred to Cestria Community Housing depending upon your circumstances.

If you are:

Unintentionally homeless with priority need
Unintentionally homeless with no priority need
Intentionally homeless with priority need

You will still need to be eligible for rehousing and not have a No Preference Status on your application for you to be offered a tenancy under this allocation scheme. You will be given one reasonable offer then your extra homeless points may be removed.
